By mixing the weighed-in components, such as the basic polymer, additives, colours, and fillers at a medium-intensity during the solid phase, powder coatings are created. This combination is fed into the BUSS Kneader and compounded during the viscous melting phase of the BUSS compounding equipment. After the melt is fed to a cooling conveyor or something similar, it is rolled out into a friable sheet, cooled, and broken into chips using a mechanical knibler. The chips are then crushed to exact grain sizes or particle sizes. Highly effective dispersive and distributive mixing at low product temperatures well below the basic polymer crosslinking temperatures is important for the compounding stage.
